In just a few years, Dieppe's downtown has become a vibrant and welcoming hub, an environment that increases its citizens'

The downtown area is flourishing. The atmosphere is lively as commerce, culture, community and politics blend to create an
enviable environment.

In downtown, there is space for both work and play. Located near the magnificent City Hall are businesses, professionals, banking institutions, office buildings, restaurants, a beautiful public square, a cultural centre and a market full of local products. The Dieppe Public Library, which is part of the New Brunswick Public Library System, has very modern facilities in the municipal building.

The City of Dieppe and the Economic Development Corporation of the City of Dieppe grouped several downtown spaces together to create Place 1604, the first Acadian urban centre, a true meeting place for the community.

Place 1604 is alive and overflowing with activities. The highly popular "Mercredis Shows" offer summer programming of popular and family shows that attract quite a crowd. 

On Saturday morning, the Dieppe Market cannot be missed. It's the perfect time to meet family and friends. The Market is the best place to get fresh farm products and crafts.

The Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre, another downtown jewel, groups under the same roof a dance studio, a music school, an art gallery, an auditorium, studios for visual artists and a community radio station.
